Some original equipment manufacturers have a cartridge send back program where you can put your cartridges in a prepaid envelope and then drive to the post office to send it back. Your package then goes to the central postal office via truck and then on to its final destination. I wonder how many miles a new cartridges travels to get to your local retailer and then how many to get back. Is this environmentally friendly? I think not.

Refilling ink and toner cartridges is not a new phenomenon. The original founders of Cartridge World started their journey in Adelaide, Australia about 20 years ago. That lead to franchising and currently there are over 1,600 locations is over 35 countries. Many others were also experimenting at the same time.
